The Recipe for Success: Role Summary

The Database Marketing Manager is responsible for leveraging customer data across retail and e-commerce channels to design and execute targeted Customer Relationship Management (CRM), database marketing, and customer lifecycle marketing programs that drive engagement, repeat purchase, and customer loyalty. This role will also be a key part of the roll-out of omni-channel for the brand in Japan, helping connect customer journeys more effectively across channels and touchpoints. This role leads database marketing activity across channels such as Email and LINE, owns the development and management of the loyalty program, and plays a key role in strengthening Le Creuset’s omni-channel customer strategy in Japan.

Le Creuset is also in the process of launching a global CRM tool, and this position will play a central role in its local implementation, helping shape the tools, processes, customer journeys, and customer use cases that will support the next phase of CRM development and marketing automation.

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive expert who is excited by the opportunity to build, improve, and help define the future of database marketing at Le Creuset.

Ingredients: Key Responsibilities

1. Database Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Plan and execute database marketing campaigns across Email, LINE, and other relevant CRM channels.

  • Drive customer engagement, conversion, repeat purchase, and long-term loyalty through targeted communication.

  • Ensure campaigns are practical, measurable, and aligned with brand and commercial priorities.

2. Loyalty Program Management

  • Design and manage loyalty mechanics, including tiers, benefits, points structures, and member engagement approaches.

  • Manage the LINE-based loyalty ecosystem and support member growth and retention.

  • Drive loyalty program performance and customer participation over time.

3. Customer Segmentation & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Build customer segmentation logic across retail and e-commerce data sources.

  • Execute lifecycle communication strategies to improve relevance and customer value.

  • Strengthen the use of customer data to support personalization and retention.

4. CRM Development & Omni-Channel Enablement

  • Support the rollout of the global CRM platform in Japan.

  • Define local use cases, customer journeys, data structures, and operational requirements.

  • Help shape the tools and processes needed to support omni-channel marketing and customer engagement.

  • Contribute to the development of a more connected customer experience across channels.

5. Data Analysis & Insight

  • Track campaign, loyalty, and customer database performance.

  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to improve customer value and marketing effectiveness.

  • Use data to help guide ongoing optimization and decision-making.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Retail, Store Managers, E-commerce, IT teams, HQ / APAC stakeholders, and external vendors.

  • Align database marketing initiatives with wider commercial, customer, and brand priorities.

  • Support collaboration across functions to ensure consistent and effective execution.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in CRM, database marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation.

  • 3+ years of experience in retail and e-commerce business environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Email and LINE campaign execution.

  • Experience designing and managing loyalty programs.

  • Experience working with CRM / CDP tools.

  • Strong analytical capability and confidence using customer data to guide decisions.

  • Experience in customer segmentation, targeting, personalization, and lifecycle communication.

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English.

  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership of outcomes.

  • Demonstrated track record of career stability and commitment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting CRM transformation or system implementation.

  • Experience in premium consumer, lifestyle, or retail brands.
