The Recipe for Success: Role Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a clean, hygienic, and orderly environment across the office/warehouse facilities, including workspaces, toilets, kitchenettes, and shared areas. The Cleaner ensures that all spaces meet hygiene and safety standards.
The designated cleaning areas may be revised or broadened as required to meet the company’s operational requirements.
Ingredients: Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitise offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, and shared workspaces.
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, including toilets, basins, mirrors, and floors.
Clean and tidy kitchenettes and break areas; restock consumables as needed.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust designated areas to company standards.
Remove waste and recyclables from all areas daily and ensure proper disposal.
Refill cleaning supplies and notify of stock shortages.
Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times.
Occasionally assist with light warehouse duties such as shredding boxes, etc.
Support basic housekeeping tasks in warehouse areas.
Carry out from time to time and as directed, tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
The Perfect Blend:
What We’re Looking For
Grade 12 or equivalent
Strong verbal communication and understanding in English
Previous cleaning experience in warehouse or office environment
High degree of reliability and punctuality
Understanding of how to properly use cleaning detergents and equipment
Ability to stand, walk, lift light items, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
Can handle small issues independently—e.g., reporting maintenance issues.
